Your right to change your mind, and what to do if something is wrong — including your statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
For most online orders you have a statutory right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 to cancel for any reason. You can cancel from the moment you place your order until 14 days after the day you (or someone you nominate) receive the goods. To cancel, just tell us clearly within that period by emailing hello@theguildedveil.co.uk with your order number — you do not need to give a reason.
After telling us you wish to cancel, send the goods back to us without undue delay and within 14 days. You pay the cost of return postage, and we recommend a tracked service as the items are your responsibility until they reach us. We will give you the returns address when you contact us at hello@theguildedveil.co.uk, and it is also included with your dispatch paperwork.
By law the 14-day cancellation right does not apply to certain items. It does not apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalised — this includes any handmade pendulum or rune set made or customised to order. It also does not apply to sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed; where this applies to a sealed deck we will make it clear on the product page. Your separate rights for faulty or misdescribed goods (below) always apply.
You are entitled to examine goods as you would in a shop. You can open the packaging and inspect a deck, but if you handle the goods more than necessary to do that, we may reduce your refund to reflect any loss in value. For sealed new decks, "as you would in a shop" does not include unsealing and using the cards; please return them in their original sealed condition where possible. For secondhand decks, we will compare the returned item against the condition we described and graded at sale.
When you cancel under the 14-day right, we refund the price you paid for the goods plus the standard (cheapest) outbound delivery cost. We do not refund any extra you chose to pay for a faster delivery option. We make the refund using the same payment method you used, within 14 days of receiving the goods back (or, if earlier, of you giving us proof you have sent them).
This is separate from the cancellation right and cannot be signed away. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if an item is faulty, damaged on arrival, or not as described, you can ask for a repair, replacement or refund. If you reject a faulty item within 30 days of receiving it, you are entitled to a full refund. Please email hello@theguildedveil.co.uk with your order number and a photo of the problem and we will sort it out. For faulty or misdescribed items we cover the cost of return.
You can cancel a pre-order at any time before it ships and we will refund you in full. Once a pre-order has shipped, your standard 14-day cancellation right and your rights for faulty goods apply in the usual way.
